How it works

Iohexol is cleared almost entirely by glomerular filtration, so its plasma clearance is a direct measure of GFR. A two-compartment population pharmacokinetic model is fitted to the measured concentrations with a nonparametric Bayesian method, and mGFR is calculated as dose / AUC. The calculation runs on mimir, the group's model server. Body surface area uses the DuBois formula.

For an estimated GFR from creatinine or cystatin C, use egfr.app.
